collaboration with TONE
Exploring community revitalization through art in Orange Mound, Memphis. Collaboration with local artist collective TONE - who currently uses the site of an old grain mill as a gathering space for their Juneteenth and Halloween celebrations.
Conserving it’s familiar identity as a place to celebrate the culture was the main focus for my portion of the project (highlighted).

Tracks added to the existing structure of the mill allows for the space to be transformed into galleries and a performance hall at the curator’s discretion. Skylights and perforated shells let light in during the day, becoming a beacon of light at night.
